BEHIND THE BRAND
Here at the Trinity S -
We knew it would take faith to chase the ranching dream, so back in 2012 when we were dating, we designed a brand that fit our vision. We chose the word ‘Trinity’; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And the ‘S’ is for the two of us, Steve & Sara.
Why raise horses -
We both came from families that raised horses so we’ve always known that was something we wanted to do together; combining our families bloodlines in our band of mares. Over time we accumulated what we now have. And then in 2022, with the addition of Starlights Boon & his first foal crop, a 10 year dream finally came to fruition. It’s an amazing thing watching it all come together. With horses there’s no rushing any part of the process. From the breeding to the training, good things take time.
- such is life.
GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME
The first one we raised, out of Birdie, carrying our first kid. Pretty special.
Our cattle operation -
We both came from cow/calf operations and after college we gained experience from multiple other ranches. After much thought and seeing a need to think outside what we know in order to get started on our own, we made a pivot. So in 2024 we sold the pairs and bought our first set of stockers, and never looked back. We enjoy the responsibilities that come with being aware of the beef market, cattle health, and seeing the relationship first hand between cattle handling and improved cattle performance. We love the challenges that come with running stockers.

‘When you really look at it, we’re first called to be stewards of what we are given. The last couple years that has begun to really shape my life. I believe in answering that God-given call, so that’s exactly what I try to do every day in my family first, then the ranch.’ -Steve
Why Sheep -
Well after much research and thought we decided to implement sheep on the ranch in early 2025. Though it was a big leap and one we did with hesitation, we can now say, why didn’t we do it sooner. Sheep are small ruminants that pair perfectly with cattle. We graze and rotate them right along with the stockers. We are hoping the addition of sheep will turn what used to be of no value, into profit; weeds into an edible product. This is something that takes years to see results and there are more positives than just weed management from running sheep, overall soil health is the goal.
